How to Check, Pay & Dispute Saudi Traffic Fines on Absher — 2025 Guide

Saudi Arabia's Saher camera system issues millions of traffic fines automatically every year. Knowing how to check your fines, pay them before they compound, and appeal ones you believe are incorrect can save you significant money and prevent your licence from being blocked.

How to Check Your Fines on Absher

  1. 1.Go to absher.sa or open the Absher app (iOS and Android)
  2. 2.Log in with your Iqama number (expats) or National ID (Saudis) and password
  3. 3.Navigate to My Services → Traffic → Traffic Violations
  4. 4.All unpaid violations are listed with date, location, type, and fine amount
  5. 5.You can also check by vehicle plate: Vehicle Services → Traffic Violations by Vehicle
💡

You can also check fines without logging in on the Moroor website (moi.gov.sa) using your Iqama and vehicle plate — useful before you set up Absher.

Other Ways to Check

How to Pay Fines Online

  1. 1.In Absher: go to Traffic Violations → select violations → click Pay
  2. 2.Choose payment: bank account via Sadad, credit card, or mada card
  3. 3.Confirm payment and save the receipt — you may need it at Moroor
  4. 4.Alternatively: pay through your bank app under Government Payments → Traffic Fines

What Happens If You Do Not Pay?

⚠️

There is no time limit on Saudi traffic fines. An unpaid fine from five years ago still blocks your licence renewal today. Check your record before any renewal.

How to Dispute (Appeal) a Fine

  1. 1.In Absher: go to Traffic Violations → find the fine → click Object or Appeal
  2. 2.Select the reason and upload supporting evidence (photos, documents)
  3. 3.Submit — you will receive an SMS acknowledgement
  4. 4.Alternatively, visit a Moroor office in person with original documents
  5. 5.Decisions typically take 2–4 weeks from the Traffic Disputes Committee

Accepted Grounds for Appeal

Appeals citing "I was only slightly over the limit" or "the road was empty" are almost never accepted. Hard evidence of a system error is required.

The 50% Fine Discount Programme

Saudi Arabia periodically offers amnesty programmes allowing drivers to settle old fines at 50% discount. In 2024–2025 such a programme was offered for violations before April 2024. Check Absher and official Saudi government news for any active discount periods.
